2 Upgrade Options

Currently have i5-3570, GTX 770, 8GB RAM

If you had to choose between these 2 upgrade options, which would you choose:

i5-8400, Cheaper H310 mobo when they release, 8GB DDR4 RAM, GTX 1060 6GB

or

GTX 1070

Depending on what resolution you want to play games.
1. 1080p -> 1st option
2. 1440p -> 2nd option

When you have more money, get whatever canon lake or Ryzen 2.0.

For gaming at 144Hz, you probably want to go with the GTX 1070. The GTX 1060 isn't a bad card. I get mine to do 4K fine on some older games. But I'm sure it won't handle modern games at 1080p 144Hz well.
