[SOLVED] 2 X 8 power connectors on Graphic card- what cable to connect?

Hey there

I am installing Asus 5770 XT graphic card. It has 2 8 pin connectors. The power supply cable has single head on one end and dual head on the other end. I only connected 1 connector and now I have white light above 1st connector and red light above 2nd. Does it want me to connect 2nd head of the same cable or all another cable connected to power supply? Thank you.

You need both 8 pins connected.

Hey, NightHawk. The PSU is the one you recommended- Corsair 650- can't see the model as it is in closed case.

Username looked familiar. The 650x should indeed have the required connectors, its just a matter of connecting them properly.

The pictures of the cable would help.

If the cables are like my crappier Corsair, connect the end with a single 8 pin to the port labeled PCIe on the PSU and put both of the 6+2 connectors on the other end into the GPU.
