Hi,

I have 2 x LG 27GL850 monitors I bought about a month ago. A few days ago, after a forced restart from a blue screen, the primary monitor is always in "HDR mode" which shows in the top right of the screen for a few seconds.

The other monitor has HDR turned off.

I can't see a setting to turn this off/on, it came on automatically before when I started a game.

The result is now that my primary monitor has a slightly greyed out or grey hue and the secondary monitor has much clearer colours. if I open an app with a white background and drag it so it is in both screens, the difference is very noticeable.

In the monitors on-screen menu, I see monitor one shows HDR as "on" and monitor two says HDR "off".

If I click into display settings I see: https://share.getcloudapp.com/7KuLGkyZ

And monitor 2: https://share.getcloudapp.com/E0unpZEp

So they are appearing differently, but I can't see where to edit this or change it. The primary monitor has certain settings greyed out that the secondary monitor has available. They are both connected via DP and the DP 1.4 option is enabled on both.

Anyone have an idea how I can resolve it?

Thanks,
Martin

Solution
Turn monitor 2 off, then restart. On restart go to Display Settings for Monitor 1 and turn off Windows HD Color. Turn on monitor 2 and restart.

Thanks, that seems to have done the trick.

When I did the 1st restart it had changed to 1024 x 768 resolution so I amneded it then retstarted again and the colours look correct now.

If I play a game now that makes use of HDR, will it turn on automatically again like I believe it did before, or has me turning that off in display settings now blocked that?
