I just purchased a CX 600 from newegg and the 20+4 pin connector will not go in all the way. It is about 90% in but will not go in the last millimeter. I know this is a common problem with these models but I am wondering if I can use my computer even though it is not snapped into place.

What you want to do is whip it out, push it in and wiggle it about a bit.

*ahem*

But yeah, wiggle it side to side, 24-pins are always tricky. Especially when you have a fully modular PSU and have to do it on both ends. (Ahuehuehue these puns).

have you looked at the pins in the connector? double check that nothing is coming loose, also it would be good to check that the clip that would latch on isn't broken or bent. other than that if it won't push in than i recommend contacting corsair.

To me, everything looks fine, no pins are bent and the latch looks fine to me. Could it be a manufacturing error?

well dang i was hoping it was something like bent pins! check the socket on the board itself then yeah contact the manufacturer, that's a bummer though sorry mate!

You could try lodging something squishy under the board at that area and put some heavy force onto it.
The extra 4-pin should go in easy enough so I would start with that.

But yeah if nothing works then RMA it. If the clip is over the bump everything should be fine.
If it's any consolation, the 20-pin on the PSU end of my cable is about 98% in with a considerable amount of wiggleage and it's been working for months and months. PSU cables are always a pain in the bum from my experience, and the more pins the trickier they become.

Na but the latch more or less signifies that it's in far enough to be stable while running.

Nice explanation lol
