20 pin connector won't lock in with power button pin ports

My 20 pin Asus motherboard won't connect with my 20 pin slots for the power button. And trying the screwdriver trick doesn't work
I am using the A10AC case made by asus and Prime H270-Plus motherboard

Are you talking about the front panel connection pins on your motherboard, that your PC case power button plugs into?

1. Look close, do you have any bent pins on the motherboard connection?
2. Is the connector turned the right way round, do you need to reverse it?

No pins are bent. which ever way I try to plug it in, there's is a blocker on one of the ports on the connector that doesn't fit
