Can anybody tell me what the MINIMUM resolution is that a 20" monitor should be able to display. I have a Cornerstone Color 20/70 monitor.

The lowest it can go would depend on a lot of things besides your monitor such as operating system, video card, etc. My 22" mitsubishi displayed 640x480 before I got my video drivers on after a new windows install.
I think a CRT will take anything you give it as far as a minimum goes. I'm sure it would display 320x240 or less if you found something that would output that.

Only the maximum varies between different monitors.

Officially? Probably 640x480. A lot of 20" monitors are fixed frequency however, and won't work with normal cards unless you can figure out how to change the frequency to the needed one after booting into windows...without seeing the screen!

If you just display one colour, you will have a 1x1 resolution...Or the minimum could be off, with no resolution. Eventually all monitors reach the minimum resolution displayable.
