200 gallon pond filter?

I down sized my pond from 2500 gals. to 200 gals. I was wondering if I still need a filter. I have a pump for the waterfall. More so now, it's like a pondless waterfall feature. But I do have three small fish.

And I would expect other factors such as surface area, depth, location, would have an impact - the objective is clean habitable water for the fish. Yes on that alone.

Nothing to do with computers per se, I know. But my curiousity about things in general just takes over......
