Where can I get my PS4 equivalent laptop? I was informed by elitists that they are quite the thing. I am looking around though and they don't seem to exist? I only see integrated graphics, and that's even at $300... Seriously tho my Dell is fried, just want some budget gaming on console par and price.

Why does everyone on youtube call consoles overpriced under-powered laptops then? -___- Literally everyone says you can get better or same for the price... Is it some shady backdoor Ebay dealings or what?

How about $300

People on utube are idiots. Listen to them at your peril.

$300? Still no.
If you wish to 'play games' on this laptop, triple that.

This, the scale of gaming bang for buck hardware wise goes, console, desktop, laptop, with laptop lagging well behind. It's because laptop parts are micro sized and MBs and other parts are made specifically to fit certain spaces.

How good is this refurbished for $259?

-15.6" LCD Screen (1366x768, non touch)
-Intel Core i7-2630QM 2.00GHz CPU
-8GB DDR3 RAM
-240GB Crucial M500 SSD
-Blu Ray & DVD+/-RW Drive
-Intel HD / AMD Radeon HD 6490M Switchable Graphics
-Built In Wifi Card
-Genuine HP 65W AC Adapter
-Windows 7 Home Premium Operating System

That's an almost 7 year old system. The CPU was released in Q1 2011.
A current $300 new one could probably beat it.

Dam, but is the GPU less susceptible to heating? Integrated takes extra stress on certain shaders.. or something I've heard. Heroes of Storm burnt out my Intel 2000 some years back

That'd be cool, I need the mobility though. The more I look the better Ebay is looking. Found this scuffed up HP with Quadro K3000 2GB for $300. Maybe I can switch the HDD and dodge some viruses. Then again buying something crispy new sounds way more appealing.. but dat price tag :heink:

Well if it makes you feel any better it also games at 4K and can function as a 4K Blu-ray player. The thing is pretty future ready, more so than any console I've ever seen.

Like I said, my only skepticism is whether the games will actually properly support KB/M, and if so, what percentage of them.

As far as price goes though, you're coming in at too low a budget for any scenario really. I know a lot here expect miracles on slim budgets, but most of them are talking $300-$400 range, not $200. You have to be realistic. The kind of tech required to run today's games can't be had THAT cheap.

Ops I meant the $700 tag of a new laptop, my games are mostly last gen and indie/low demand. Someday I can get X1X or PC but yah I need mobility.

The One X is the closest thing you're going to find in a decent gaming rig that's affordable and portable. Of course you'd have to haul a small monitor with it though. It's actually smaller than the PS4 though at 11.8"x9.4"x2.4".
