Hi, just wondering if anyone could please give me some advice on what kind of parts i should be getting in order to play all my games on ultra specs for say Crysis 3..(Btw the cost should be in Australian dollars and i would like this build to be at least 2-5 years future proof) i'm just so undecided on what to get. please help me, any help will be appreciated :)

I put this build together quickly and used very high end components the ram and mobo are probably overkill I would also research which parts you want to buy since you want to spend this much money. A gtx 770 can max out pretty much every game at 1080p. This build includes a 780ti which is more meant for 1440p. If it were me I would just buy a 770 and in a couple years if it wasn't enough just add a second one in sli.

Thanks bmwm3186, i forgot to mention that i live in Australia so the build you made went way over the budget. So if i went with intel i7 4770k what kind of mobo would you suggest i get?

Here's the build: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/3G142

The CPU is a AMD FX-6350 running a 3.9GHz with 6 cores and the motherboard is an Asus Crosshair V Formula-Z ATX AM3+ Motherboard which has 2400 max RAM speed, 3-way SLI-Support, full SATA 6GB/s, and USB 3.0. For RAM you have G-Skill Trident 4x8GB RAM running at 2400MHz. The GPU is a EVGA GTX-780Ti Superclocked. The PSU is a SeaSonic Platinum 1000W 80+ Platinum Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply with almost double the required wattage for this build and the CPU cooler is a Corsair H100i meaning you're safe for overclocking! With this build you can overclock the CPU pretty high and if you overclock the GPU you'll need to buy waterblocks for it which will bring you up to $2200. As for storage you have 2x240GB SSD's for your OS and games and other important stuff. For the rest you have a 1TB WD HDD. Both are SATA 6GB/s so the motherboard can fully utilize them; vice versa. For an optical drive you have an Asus DRW-24B1ST/BLK/B/AS DVD/CD Writer. Again this is SATA 6GB/s. And finally we have the case which will fit all your parts, looks really nice(especially with that side window view) 😉 , and can hold even more parts. This build will surely run all your games in Ultra.

Thanks XtremeAero426, sadly it went over the budget once again in australian dollars :\

Wait, australian dollars? I'm not good with foreign currency. Sorry :\

ANYWAYS..... I went and revised the build.

Build: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/3G1Mj

I reduced the RAM capacity to 16GB. It will still run all your games on Ultra settings. 32GB isn't necessary but it does help(in very heavy multitasking). I also added to the GPU waterblock in advance so you don't need to buy it separate from the build anymore 😉 (IF you will overclock; which I do recommend with those parts.)

The total is 2005.39 in USD or according to Google, 2150.09 in Australian dollars. (seriously, foreign currency is really confusing :??:)

Thanks once again XtremeAero426, unfortunately 3 parts aren't even available in Australia, i also forgot to tell you that i need to buy windows 7 and a monitor as well 😉
So i messed around a bit on pcpartpicker and made this:
http://au.pcpartpicker.com/user/jackdoobies/saved/4AS6
is there anything there you would change?
if so feel free to make a new edit

These are the parts that aren't avaliable:
Fractal Design Define R4 w/Window (Black Pearl) ATX Mid Tower Case
SeaSonic Platinum 1000W 80+ Platinum Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply
AMD FX-6350 3.9GHz 6-Core Processor

Well check out the asrock fatal1ty mobo i5 4670k and gtx 770 see if that fits in your budget you can also go with 8gb of ram instead of 16gbs

The only thing I would really stress over is getting RAM with a heat spreader. Heat spreaders really help max out the RAM's lifespan. The rest seems really nice, good luck! 😀

An fx 6300 and a 780ti seriously man that will bottleneck the hell out of that video card. An fx6300 is good for 700$ builds and below. I would not recommend anything less than a 4670k if you are going to get a 780ti

Your build with the 8350 and 780ti looks fine although I still recommend an intel cpu for that high end of a build. Also possibly change the 1 8gb stick of ram to 2x4gb sticks of ram so you can run dual channel.

Reply to bmwm3186: AMD CPU's don't really bottleneck GPU's. I have a friend who has a GTX-760 4GB Windforce with a AMD Athlon 760K and it works better than another friend's build with an Intel i5 4570 which bottlenecks his EVGA GTX-660 2GB. RAM and all other components aren't bottlenecked nor do they bottleneck the other components in both builds.

Reply to JackDoobies: If you really are only going to get 8GB of RAM, I'd get dual-channel like he said. I'd only go with the 8GB stick if you plan to upgrade to 32GB of RAM which you most likely won't need.

So, in short, get dual channel RAM if you don't plan to upgrade to 32GB of RAM.

I recommend these sets of 2x4GB RAM:

The monitor is pretty much standard for gaming (1920x1080 & 60Hz). The motherboard is good as well. The only thing I would be worried about is the fact that the RAM speed cap is 2100MHz but unless you're going to go over that, everything is fine.

what do you mean by this? "I would be worried about is the fact that the RAM speed cap is 2100MHz"

If you buy RAM faster than 2100MHz with that motherboard, you will only get 2100MHz. In other words, your RAM speed can't go over 2100MHz. I wouldn't be too worried about that though because 1600MHz is enough (although I prefer 1866MHz) and you probably won't ever need more than 1866MHz.
