Im requesting because i have money, but also because i finish college soon so it is going to be gift got that ahah just another half a year to go yet, just want to see what i can get with the money, and yes i know totally new and different things will be out by then, im just looking

Get new parts. Then you don't have to worry about how long it's going to last. Besides no one is going to give you a GTX 970 and almost no one will be selling it in good condition

Ye Im not asking for new components 😛 Just need some basic ones to host a web server and file server for my network, but the web server will be accessible fro anywhere, so i don't really need a good graphics card for this server bit.

Im asking for things that people just want to get rid of ahah

I suppose, but then i carnt take my laptop to college and keep the website up, because the laptop hat to be on and have an internet connection 24/7 :/ where if i had a little computer i could just sit it under my desk and forget it is even there

In the other thread he mentioned using it as a Minecraft server too. That requires a crap ton of RAM.
And I would have put in a bigger SSD but it's too expensive with all the RAM.

Dude looking on here is not going to give you much luck go on craigslist search the free section or ask some of your friends.

What you can do is build a PC for like $400, and then upgrade later if you want to. You could easily build a cheap PC then replace the CPU and GPU down the road.
