Hello!
I bought a Baseus bluetooth - aux transmitter which gets its' power from USB (5V 1A). I also bought a cigarette lighter USB adapter for my Chevy, plugged them together but the BT device turns off after 10 seconds. I tried with an other USB adapter, if I start any music from my phone the factory radio just puts itself back into fm mode, cannot even turn it back to AUX input. Simple AUX cable works fine with my phone.
My cigarette lighter socket is working, I tested it out and it has 12V, BT transmitter is fine as I tried with simple phone charger and connecting to PC.
What could be the problem? Thanks in advance! :)

Try to power your bluetooth receiver with a power bank in your car. See if that works.

If that does, then it's probably something wrong with your USB adapter, or something weird with your aux port sharing ground with your lighter socket.

N.B. Do not forget your power bank inside your car. Summer heat will cause damage to its batteries, and may well blow it up.

I forgot to mention that I already tried that but didn't work out. Same thing, turns off after about 10 seconds.

I have a friend who works with cars, he'll help me connecting a different kind of BT transmitter to the back of the original head unit which will use the CD input. In this case I do not have to buy an aftermarket one, car is going to be looked like factory.
