2008 m15x CPU & GPU replacement

I recently purchased an alienware area 51 m15x and i want to upgrade the cpu and gpu. Is this possible? What's a good mid level combo if so.

My m15 died in 2009... probably was the GPU. What a waste of money. Laptops are cute toys. But I would advise against putting any money into one. Put the money towards building a good PC.

I didn't waste too much money, scooped it up for 200 bucks and I would build a desktop but I need the mobility.

Intel core 2 duo 2.4ghz, 4mb cache mem
4gb (2 x 2gb) ddr2 sdram
200 gb sata 7200rpm
nvidia gforce 8600m gt 512 mb

I don't think it's possible. Maybe you should get a new laptop with GTX 500 series on them.

You definitely cannot upgrade the CPU or GPU on a laptop unless they are made to do so (very high end laptops)

+1 to refillable, Alienware is such a waste even in desktop form factor. If you want to game, building a tower is the way to go.
