2010 iMac won't wake up from sleep on windows 10 (apple unsupported bootcamp for win 10)

2010 27 inch iMac i can install windows 10 just fine but if i run the apple bootcamp app it installs all the drivers for everything except after that whenever the computer goes to sleep and you wake it up the screen never wakes up but the computer does so you can hear stuff etc etc but no image?

I also had in issue where the ethernet would stop working. but i thinks on the second full install that issue did go away.

If i don't install the bootcamp app everything is perfect but i don't have control for the brightness,volume (apple usb keyboard) and i don't have sound either so i need to also manually install the driver for the sound from the folder on the bootcamp usb stick

i've read there is an issue with the apple driver for the graphics card and thats what causes the screen not to wake up.

i can manually install each driver that i would need on their own, i did try it but wasn't able to get the brightness,volume, well all that top row of keys

anybody know what driver that is? that way i can just run windows update and it installs everything just fine minus the sound card driver

If your machine supports the newest version of bootcamp (which does support 10), upgrade. If your machine doesn't support Windows 10 now, it won't support Windows 10 in the future. All you can do is contact apple support and complain that 10 year old entry level intel desktops can run the OS properly yet your expensive imac can't.

You can try installing the Windows 8 drivers for the remaining parts, but it's not guaranteed to work, and it won't solve sleep issues.

hi, i had a similar issue on a 2010 macbook pro 13 inch, i installed windows 10 no prob but sometimes no image is shown, what i did was just unlock the device and then use the keyboard the try increase brightness, i dunno why but it worked for me becuase on the lowest level of brightness , in some lighting conditions the image can be visible . barely visible
