My little brother uses a 2010 MacBook Pro 13" (I think) to do his things. Recently, however, it has begun lagging to the point of usability even on home screens with nothing open, with boot times taking up to hours. No apps will launch, and even when they do launch it is basically unusable/ Right now I have 2 theories. 1) He downloads a lot of minecraft mods. I think he may have downloaded one from a sketchy site, and gotten a virus. 2) This is more hardware, but he said a few days ago that he had spilled some tea on it, and just kept using it. no shutting down, no drying. just wiping off the keyboard, and continuing playing minecraft. Are these right? If not, what could it be? And Finally, it is repairable, or should we (he) just get a new one?

Thanks in advance,

Colin

[strike]I think that it has a Core 2 Duo (not sure which one though) 4 gigs of DDR3 RAM, and Nvidia GT 320.[/strike] Sorry, Never mind. My brother has decided to find help on his own.
