Hi
i'm making a new build for gaming , and i'm looking at the new intel cpus with the new 2011-v3 socket
for now i can go with skylake 6700k and it would give me almost the same performance as the 5930k, but it means that i'm going to use a z710 based motherboard

so my question is , is intel going to release more cpus with 2011-v3 socket faster ones ?
or is that going to mean a new MB,?
if not , for me the skylake is enough with an Asus ROG Motherboard and i wont be compromising anything , except more lanes which i don't really need ,

thank you

I wouldn't recommend RoG boards. They're expensive for almost no benefit.

K-series Skylake chips are having availability issues, so are ridiculously overpriced.

There's going to be more chips on both LGA2011v3 and LGA1151, but they're unlikely to perform much better, if at all.

I'd suggest going with Devil's Canyon. Skylake has nothing to offer, and the extra two cores won't make a difference in gaming - there's barely a difference between the i5 and i7 as it is.

thank you for your answer

i want to build a pc that would serve me for years , i have not upgrade it my system for more than 5 years , that is why i want to build a high end setup that would still run good after 3-4 years, i will be using this build for gaming and work also ,Autocad and such
so money is not issue , the issue is that skylak is a great cpu that performs even better than 5820k ,
should i go with the x99 or with the z710 if i'm looking just to upgrade after 3 years (cpu and gpu)
