Question "2013-ish gaming build" - GPU to pair with A8-3870 APU ?

Hi there everyone!

I recently revived an old preassembled build that my brother had. Since it had no GPU I opted for an APU solution since this mobo is running on a FM1 chipset.
I am currently using it to review older games ranging from early 2000 titles and sometimes I play CSGO or LoL on it without any hassle.

I noticed I can't run some games at a decent framerate such as Sonic Racing or Terraria on native resolution (I'm running on a16:10 display, 1680x1050) and so I am searching for an older GPU to pair with this A8-3870.
I would like to play more modern titles such as TR2013, FC3 at a stable 60fps, I don't mind playing it on lowering the settings.
If it's possible I would also like to run some modern online games such as Fortnite or Apex, I don't mind either lowering the specs to 720p / medium.

I have looked an older thread here and found some recommendations: GTX 650 Ti / 750 / 750 Ti or HD 7850 / R7 260X.
I have a budget of 60-70€, I have found a 260x for 35€ and I'm currently evaluating it.

Thanks in advance!

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!

If the PSU is from 2013, then I'd highly suggest that you invest in a new 450W reliably built PSU while you're going for a discrete GPU purchase. Out of that lineup(above), I'd pick the GTX 750Ti or even the GTX1050Ti). On your platform, I think if you went with a dual channel ram kit, you'd see a smaller performance increase, notably a 2x8(or 2x4)GB DDR3-1866MHz 1.65v ram kit.
