Uni student looking to video edit.

Either getting the 2014 1700 pound macbook or the 2015 1600.

2014 edition-
I7 Haswell 2.5ghz
Gtx 750m
16gb ram
Os upgradable still for free
550 gb ssd

2015 cheaper model not top range-
I7 Broadwell 2.2ghz more efficent
Iris pro graphics
16gb ram
Os yosmite pre installed
225 gb ssd faster reading times

I'm planning on getting a 2TB hard drive external but I've heard it's good to at least have 500 gb on board etc.

Which one for video editing would be best?
Some have said a gfx card such as nivida will help while others have said iris pro is fine.

Cheers need some help with this asap

Solution
I'd go with the 2014 MBP for video editing, simply because it has discrete graphics as opposed to the 2015 MBP model cited which has embedded graphics.
