Hi folks,

What software would you recommend for beginner-intermediate use for under £100?

At the moment, I'm leaning towards one of the following:

Sony Movie Studio Platinum 13
https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00HRQB108/ref=twister_B00OFMH3QI?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1

CyberLink PowerDirector 15 Ultra
https://www.amazon.co.uk/CyberLink-PowerDirector-15-Ultra-Editors/dp/B01M3T8V5F/ref=sr_1_2?s=software&ie=UTF8&qid=1488216017&sr=1-2&keywords=video%2Bediting&th=1

Corel VideoStudio Ultimate X9
https://www.amazon.co.uk/Corel-VideoStudio-Ultimate-X9-PC/dp/B01ARQ4HIM/ref=sr_1_7?s=software&ie=UTF8&qid=1488216017&sr=1-7&keywords=video+editing

Adobe Premiere Elements 15
https://www.amazon.co.uk/Adobe-Premiere-Elements-15-Mac/dp/B01JG8FJT8/ref=sr_1_2?s=software&ie=UTF8&qid=1488216946&sr=1-2&keywords=adobe+premiere+elements+15

The pricing for Sony Movie Studio and Cyberlink PowerDirector is much lower than the other two, so I'm wondering if they are any better (worth the extra money)?

Any recommendations would be much appreciated, thanks! D

I've always used move studio but it got dumbed down a little in 2013, good for new users but bad for advanced users. I'd either go that route or consider Adobe premier pro on adobe's monthly subscription program.

Thanks ThePlaneAddict!

Yes, Movie Studio (I think version 11) is the only one I've briefly used before, but it seems like the product has gotten worse with each new version... Movie Studio 13 appears to have a strange design with its touch-screen focused user interface and buttons! Have you tried it?

Any thoughts on Adobe Premiere Elements?

I know that you can change 13 back to the old design but not sure how well it works. I have no experience with adobe editing. I just can tell from the free trial that premier pro is a very modern and efficient editing software that uses alot more system power.

Great, thanks fo your advice ThePlaneAddict :)
