Question 2019 Mac Pro slow as hell - how to speed up?

Hi Everyone,

I have a 2019 Macbook Pro that is slowing up BAD. I get the spinning wheel of death when opening or just working on excel sheets. Some programs cause issues and have delays because of this too. What are some ways I can speed up a mac instead of doing a clean reboot and wiping / starting fresh?

My mac is:

15 inch - 2019
2.3 GHz 8-core Intel i9
Intel UHD 630 Graphics 1536mb
16GB 2400 MHz DDR4
Ventura 13.2

Because you may be having a hardware issue that is making it run slow. A hard drive that is crapping out can cause issues, because it has to try several times to read the data off the platters, as an example.

no issues were found when i ran that test
