Question 2070 core clock

Hello im new to toms hardware, and im wondering if anyone can tell me why my 2070 core clock is running slower than normal, at idle it's running at around 1130mhz and under load it fluctuates from around 1650mhz to over 1800mhz. i had it overclocked in the past and it ran fine until i updated the driver, iv'e reverted to an older driver now and the issue is still there, any help would be great help

There is nothing wrong with your GPU. When you do not need the full power of the GPU, it downclocks itself and when you do need it, it boosts. Since the normal core clock of the 2070 according to nVidia is 1410 with boost to 1620 and you get to 1845 (obviously because its an aftermarket card), you are more than fine.
