[SOLVED] 2070S Boosting to 1950Mhz, No overclock - is this normal?

So i've just bought myself a 2070s to go with my 3600x.
Even when playing small games like Astroneer, if i monitor the GPU clock speed its boosting all the way to 1950.

Just wondering if this is normal behaviour as the boost clock says about 1800Mhz max.

It's normal.
The advertised boost clocks you'll see on these gpus are a worst case scenario. They will easily boost higher than that on their own, depending on power and thermal headroom.

I think it might be somewhat common. I have an ASUS GTX 1080 Turbo with a supposed boost clock of 1733 MHz....but it routinely runs above 1800 MHz (1835 MHz a lot)....and I think my GTX 1060 runs above the spec as well.

Yes it's normal, nvidia gpus tend to boost themselves as long as the thermals allow them to do so
