Question 2080 ROG or 2080S Gigabyte?

Hi there,

I'm a bit undecided. Which one I should get, based on the following.

• Usage: DotA2, Apex. Obviously, these games don't require full load, but still, I plan to keep this card for the next 3-4 years.
• FPS expected: Over 140
• Game Quality: Highest 1080p
• Heating: I understand ROG is better than Gigabyte at this chapter. (about 10 degrees difference?)
• Endurance over time: I guess the ROG would win here as well?
• Resell value: Based on the heating, I guess the ROG would have a higher one?
• Pricing: Is about the same (I got an offer on the ROG)

One is a Super the other isn't. I'd get the Super but how much of a price difference are you seeing between the two?

I'm also curious to learn what the rest of your specs are to your build and how old the PSU is.

The price diff would be 30$ more for the Super one.


My system is the following:

CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 3700x 3.6 Ghz (not planning to OC)
RAM: 32 GB G.Skill 3200 frequency
Motherboard: Asrock x470 master sli
PSU: Just bought a Seasonic Focus GX, 80+ Gold, 750W
