Question 2080 super colorful is it worth buying?

Hi,

I tought to buy rtx 3070 or 3080. But 3080 is immposible to get one and probably will be same with 3070.
i can buy 2080 super colorful for 430e is it good deal or better wait ?

monitor i play on is ultrawide 3440x1440

pc :

i7 9700k
16gb ram 3600mhz

The RTX 2080 super is a good card. You certainly won't go wrong with that card but if you can hold out for a 30 series card and can afford it I'd wait for it. I don't know when more will be available though you could be waiting until early 2021.

My advice is wait for the 3080. I was very lucky and managed to get a 3080 which has replaced my 2080 Super. I game using a 1440p 144Hz monitor and like to average 120+ FPS. I was underwhelmed with the performance of the 2080 Super in gpu heavy games. For example COD MW multiplayer, I had to run medium settings with RT off to average 120fps. With the 3080 I think I have all but one setting at max, also have RT on and now get 130+ FPS and often 140+.

Your resolution is slightly higher than I am running. The COD MW example is a game which is now a year old. If you have the budget for a 3080 I’d recommend holding out for one.
