[SOLVED] 2080 Ti AMP Extreme vs 2080 Ti Strixx

Solution
  1. Overclocking is not guaranteed. There are many factors that contribute to this result. Ambient temperature, case, fans, etc.
  2. Not every card/cpu/RAM will overclock the same. Looking at 1 instance and deciding which will overclock the best is short sighted.
  3. Overclocking a GPU requires changing both memory and processor speeds. These speeds are not necessarily independent. Raising one too high can limit the potential of the other. It’s totally possible that lowering the memory 400mhz on the faster card would result in a corresponding 50-100mhz processor increase.

At stock the Zotac is faster so its better? I plan to OC just to play 4K60 games like RDR2, FIFA20, Assassins Creed etc
I think they are pretty equal. With the Zotac you get a higher clock standard that you know you can use daily. These clocks are also temperature dependent and as the cards heat up they will downclock accordingly. If you want to get the most out of the card I would suggest looking at a NZXT G12 bracket for water cooling. This will however void your warranty.

I switched to the Asus since the Zotac is not in stock anywhere. I should receive it this week.
My last nVidia card was the GTX 280 lol
I have always found AMD to offer cheaper GPUs for around the same performance as nVidia like the HD5970 I had but now the game has changed and nVidia is the only way to go for 4K60.

I wish that AMD comes up with some competition so we don't pay these very high prices.

Hopefully AMD and Intel change the market in June 2020
