[SOLVED] 2080 ti bios chip location

I bricked my GPU after running a bios update. I need to reset the bios chip on the PCB and cannot find the chip. Does anybody know on a FE card where the buyers chip is?

Look for an 8 pin chip then search up it’s part number. If the results show it’s a bios chip then you got the right one…

does the pc post, or is it detected in device manager? If it does you don’t need to short the bios pins…

The pc does not post and when booting it is just a black screen. So I short the two pins and reinstall card, then flash bios? I have found it on my card and it’s on the front side next to the nv link.

Yes, you just short two pins then turn on the pc. Disconnect before flashing.

though I can’t remember which pins exactly to short, was it DIO and Vss (data input and ground)? Or C and Vss?

you're gonna have to find out for yourself if you didn't already…
