[SOLVED] 2080 Ti memory thermals

I recently have noticed that my GPU has been performing inconsistently in games so I ran A TimeSpy bench on my system and used GPU-Z to monitor the temps and I noticed that my GPU maxed at 70 C but the memory reached 107C and was wondering if this is normal.

I have also noticed that my card is idling at 1350 mhz clock with the ram reporting 7000mhz idel in MSI afterBurner

Idling at base clock and memory at full effective speed? I would check for Malware or Bit Mining running in the background.

107C is warm, but the memory should be rated for 120C or so. Might want to consider looking into better thermal pads for the memory or increasing airflow around the card.

Those clocks are normal if more than one monitor is connected to the card.

Then we're back to what Eximo said about:
"I would check for Malware or Bit Mining running in the background."


I've been on 2 screens for a few years now, and my 1080Ti sits at 1518mhz when not really doing anything. If I change the power plan to Optimal/Normal, it sits at 1480mhz instead... woo!
