Question 2080ti i7700k low fps?

Hi all just got a 2080Ti but im a little disappointed with the fps ranging from anywhere between 60 - 120 on bfv. Doesnt really seem to be stable, I dont know if this is the norm or?

I was expecting a lot higher frames tbh, and more consistent. It can be stable at 80fps then drop to 60ish and stay there.


2080ti
i7 7700k (stock)
16GB Ram (2400mhz)

running on 1080p until the weekend

I might record all the info whilst ingame and you can see what i mean.

But in the meantime any input would be appreciated, I just expected better, with spending so much £££

I would do a clean uninstall of the drivers to get rid of all the old drivers. Use the DDU tool below in safe mode:

Techpowerup averaged 158fps at 180p and that was with a 8700k and faster RAM. So at 120fps you are not that far behind from where you should be. Cleaning up the drivers may prove the difference.

I have done a uninstall of the drivers. But unfortunately couldn't do it in safe mode as it wouldn't accept my password for some reason 😔

Are you running BFV with RTX turned on? That will have a big impact on performance.

No and most of settings are low or off apart from textures and 1 other that is ultra. But it's averaging around 80fps. I'll stick a video up of the fps etc when I have time

Run everything at ultra and leave RTX off. Backing down all of the settings to low just puts everything on the CPU. If turning the settings up does not change your framerate, then your CPU may be the issue.
