Which is better for gaming? I see that 21.5" has a higher resolution which is weird because I would expect that the 22" would have a higher res. I've noticed a lot of full HD 21.5" screens with 2ms response times little to no 22" monitors with full HD. I don't know if full HD is necessary for gaming so which size would you guys recomend? Also, do you think you could give me a little help choosing some monitors. I know about contrast and response time but there all the same so which are the best? I've seen people recomend a lot of different models and I just wanted to know what would be best for me. I have a 896MB GTX 275.

Thanks in advance guys and sorry for the ignorance,
Dan

If full HD was required for gaming, then there would not have been any games for PC until a "full HD monitor" was released.

Be very careful when buying a 21.6" monitor with 1920 x 1080 resolution. Text is going to be small and maybe hard to read. Go to a store and check one out before you buy so you will know if you can read the text without straining.

As for monitors, I generally prefer to splurg on my monitors because I want to get the best color, image and video quality as possible (within reason).

The only "cheap" LCD monitor I have ever bought is the Asus VK246H last December. It get's used maybe 5 - 6 hours a week sometimes not at all so I didn't want to spend a lot. The Asus VK246H actually turns out to be a good gaming monitor. I've noticed very little to no ghosting at all and input lag is almost zero. This is a 23.6" 1920 x 1080 monitor.

Below is a link to my review which focuses on the monitor itself, some gaming performance and DVD playback analysis.

Note: The VW246H and the VK246H are the same monitor, but the VK version has a built-in webcam. Sometimes the VW is cheaper, sometimes the VK is cheaper.
