I have a Viewsonic G225FB monitor that is currently getting repaired at Viewsonic. I bought an exchange warranty from Viewsonic, which stated that a replacment monitor would get shipped within 48 hours of my phone call, but they didn't keep enough replacment monitors in stock to cover the warranties they sold. Anyway, it's been about a month now, and involved getting the Better Business Bureau into the process.

So apparently, getting my next CRT monitor will be a pain. I've looked at LCD's, but the equivalent would be a 24" 1920x1200 display, which would be similar to the CRT at 1600x1200 (in 4:3 mode) fine for game, but not so great for the desktop and non-gaming applications on Windows XP, where I use 1280x960, which looks just fine on a CRT, but blurry on a LCD.

I took a look at monitorwarehouse for the 21 and 22 inch CRTs, but only one of them was shown as "in stock" while the others were listed as "call for availability".

So I'm posting here to see what companies are still actually making good 21 or 22 inch CRTs. I don't want the Sony triniton type technology. The typical specs will be .24mm or smaller dot pitch and 2048x1536@85hz.

You will be hard pressed to find any CRT, let alone a high end at that. I am afraid you will have to make do with a high end TFT, even though it won't be as good as a CRT; don't let anyone fool you about that mate.
