21" vs 27" Full HD Displays

In full HD, i.e. 1920 x 1080 means 2,073,600 pixels.. These many number of pixels confined in the area of 21" monitor screen will be more closer to each other than in the 27" screen area.. My doubt is, does the clarity vary between the sizes of the screen of same resolution?

Yes, so the smaller the display (with the same resolution), the higher the Pixels Per Inch (PPI). The higher the PPI, the sharper the screen appears.

For a 27" screen, I would be going for a 1440p screen ( I am actually doing this soon).

So, for a full HD monitor, which will be better? A 21" screen or 24" screen? Or no noticeable difference in sharpness? (I've no personal experience over 768p because still have 1366 x 768 in my laptop, but I've seen full HD monitors)

it also depend on how close are you sitting to the monitor, I have a 24" 1080 and it look great.

Compared to your present resolution, I think so. 1080p looks good at 23-24", going to 27" you maybe notice less clarity.

1080p is perfect at 24". On a 27" screen I would be wanting a 1440p personally, to retain the same PPI - However, it requires more GPU horsepower if you want to play games at 1440p.

One thing you can do is stick a blu-ray in on a true 1080p TV and watch it at different distances. You should see some difference in clarity.
