$210 For Peripherals

Well, after asking about my build and the total adding up to $1600, I want to spend the last $200 on peripherals, but idk what specific ones to get. I know I want a good set of speakers/headphones with great sound and bass, and a badazz gaming keyboard and mouse. What else should I get to make my gaming experience an incredible one?

You need to get a KB/Mouse/Headphones for 200 and you want the most quality around that price? This is my recommendation:

Microsoft Sidewinder X4-$43.99 | This is the only membrane keyboard I would even bother recommending. It's built better and has better anti-ghosting than every other membrane keyboard including anything from Logitech's $100.00+ line of LED backlit crap.

Mouse-Logitech G400 (latest revision)-$34.99 | Best sensor tech on the market right now, at a very reasonable price. (The link below is for reference, make sure you get one of the new revision PID's which come in at the same cost but have the newly upgraded sensor)

Headphones-Audio Technica AD-700-$105.99 | Huge soundstage, extremely comfortable, large drivers, if combined with a soundcard that has surround sound capability down the road (these run as low as 39.99) will give you better surround sound than any gimmick gaming headset.

Microphone-Zalman Clip-On Mic- $9.06 | same quality sound you would expect from a regular headset boom microphone, clips onto headphone wire. Is very unobtrusive, great value for the money.

Above all else, I recommend you avoid expensive logitech membrane keyboards and gaming headsets. Gaming headsets are built poorly and incorporate poorly devised surround sound (if they bother at all). Logitech's keyboards are simply membrane kb's. Their markup is astronomical and the X4 has a more meaningful gaming feature set (best anti-ghosting of any membrane keyboard that I know of).

I think those are the best bang for the buck products (and in the AD-700's case, they're the best gaming headphones for under 500 dollars). I'd recommend that down the road you invest in a cheap soundcard with dolby headphone/cmss-3d properties for more accurate emulated surround sound than realtek, but it's by no means necessary and doesn't need to be an up front purchase along with these other items. These soundcards run in the vicinity of 39.99 to 59.99 for a reasonable model that will do the job well.

Thanks for your help! I am never sure on peripherals, so I will take your word for it on your choices and will get them. I can't really say anything against what you said cuz I am a noob when it comes to peripherals. I don't think I'll need more opinions, but it is welcome.

More opinions can never hurt. There's only so much variety though, and even fewer things that are actual quality. It does sort of open the door to fanboyism at a certain point =/.
