After trying to get the ram to run above 667 mhz in the bios the system gives continuous beeps and doesn't boot and then i have to boot using MemOk! button.
Here's my RAM atm:

I have m5a99x R2.0 mobo and fx 8350 which supports 1866Mhz i believe
Thanks for help :)

Solution
first if it shows 667mhz, then it's running at default of 1333mhz because DDR is doubled.

second, how are you trying to set the ram speed? the AMD chips only officially support 1333, but most MB's can help that go faster. I have 1866 and the same board and it's fine.

What you need to do is go into the bios (and this is off the top of my head, so I may be wrong but look around) and going the advanced options, AI tweaker settings or something and turn that to manual I think from AUTO or DOCP is what you want to find anyways. DOCP is the same as XMP on Intels and it basically asks the RAM for it's speed and stats and then from there you should be able to in the drop down box below the DOCP option is select the speed and you should see...

Everything is working fine, don't mess with the speeds. Read a bit on how DDR2 and 3 RAM works and also about motherboard bus vs RAM speeds.

yeah but i cant set anything above 667 because the system refuses to boot, then i have to boot from memok button but why is it not booting - wrong voltages maybe?

RAM or motherboard with that RAM may not like non-default speeds. I'd leave things as they are with default settings, unless you really want that extra few % points in speed and are OK with risking motherboard or RAM issues if you try to force speeds they are not happy to run at.
