I recently installed a set of Quad 2133 mhz ram with timings @ 9 11 10 28. After two sets of 2133 ram i realized my mobo just doesn't work with the xmp profiles the ram has. Without the XMP enabled I had to manually set the everything for a stable boot. My question is: Should I play with my timings? W/O XMP my clocks are 14 14 14 35, seems very high to me especially since I was working with 9 11 10 28. When I input the standard ram clocks out of the box I get a no boot everytime. With the 14 14 14 35 i have no prob and the pc still seems much faster than my previous 1600 dual channel ram. I don't know much about timings but I have read the higher the mhz the timings don't matter as much anyhow.
Thanks guys.
