I got some corsair vengeance 2133 LP DDR3 ram to go in my system and I can't get my PC to boot when I enable XMP. It defaults back to 1333mhz after a few attempts., the only progress I've made is if I dont enable XMP I can get it to boot at 1600mhz.

I've tried not OCing my CPU and OCing my CPU, I've also tried raising my ram voltage from 1.5 to 1.52. The ONLY success I had was that it booted when I turbo boosted my CPU to 4.5ghz through my MOBO's built in OCing, but it crashed shortly after.

Also I've noticed that even though my timings are supposed to be 11-11-11-27 my XMP profile 1.3 sets them to 11-12-12-28 but I don't think that is causing this issue.

You say 2 dual channel kits? So this was not a 4x4gb kit?

If actually from 2 separate kits then this is likely your issue. RAM is only guaranteed to work in the kits it is sold, even mixing 2 identical kits is not guaranteed to work correctly.

If I wanted to try that how would I check to make sure heat doesnt become a problem? Is that something I can see in HWMonitor?
