I'm browsing the internet like a madman to find which is the best monitor for maximum of 250 euros.
My system: xp, nvidia 7300gt 128 bit 512mb, 2gb ddr2
I'm looking for a 22" or 23" (not bigger)
With 2-5ms response time (I need explanation here about GTG and BTB)
LED would be good (better colors)
250+ brightness
the bigger contrast the better (LED pwns here)
I'm not sure wether I want it to be 1680 or 1920 pixels, I don't know the difference.
I'll use the monitor for playing old games like: CS 1.6, WoW, WCIII... and may be some newer ones. I want to see some stunning quality games. I don't want ghosting, I want good fps (Will I make it thru the 60-75 pixels if Vsync is off ?)
I'll also use it for digital painting.
I don't want 3D since I'm not that big fan of cinema but some movie mode ot FullHD would be good.

This is it. It is messy but help me out the best for me ;-)

Sorry for doubleposting.
Few more notes: I prefer a non-TN matrix... and may be a Samsung or LG would be good.
PS: Somebody told me there are monitors thatcan rotate to a portrait mode (90 degrees angle), would be useful when drawing!

LED backlighting produces brighter colors and not great colors.. That depends on the type of panel used.. Anyway, for your intended use along with the need for LED backlit, i'd recommend the BenQ V2410T..

I don't think I can find an ISP panel for that budget which means I'll have to stick with the TN. But since LED allows better contrast, doesn't this result in better contrast, thus results in better color depth? And a 5ms LED, I think would be good.

In the market I was offered this one: Samsung LED Monitor 21.5" BX2240
What's your opinion? Otherways I really like the XL2370... but thats 50% more expensive.

LED backlighting would result in brighter colors.. Deep blacks depend on panelling wherein the IPS panels tend to be more accurate compared to TN or PVA panels.. IPS panels also have wider viewing angles in comparison to other panels.. IMO, there is no such compelling reason to go for a LED backlit monitor but if you are getting one in your price range then surely go for it.. All TN panel monitors would virtually perform the same so its good to opt for one which looks the best and has maximum connectivity options.. The Samsung XL2370 fits that bill perfectly.. Spending a little extra for it would be worth it IMO..

I been reading reviews the whole day and from what I've read PX2370 > XL2370. And on the other hand there was a comparison between BX2350 and PX2370 where they are kinda simililar on quality/performance and I've got enough cash for BX2350. Can you say something about that model?
PS: A list of lg/samsung monitors sorted by date of release would be useful, unfortuntely I can't find such list... I want my monitor to be one of the latest (2010) and the last of it's serie because it'll have the bigger flaws fixed of its previous model. I don't want to buy a monitor for which is known to have a major flaw.

Luckily I found expert review of F2380 (considered better than bx2240) to have some big issues. I'll pass the portrait mode... I don't want that anymore...

C&C about samsung bx2350 [or bx2250 the shorter version] (is it supposed to be better than bx2235? is it newer?) + LG W2286 (is there newer model from this series ? I live in Bulgaria and we sometimes get the new stuff with delay 😀 )<-- those are my favorites atm based on reviews found online.

bump.
help me out wether i should buy bx2350 or there is better quality/performance monitor for less money. I'm reading different things all over the internet and im very confused even after i thought i desided it... I heared about some Dell monitors which are better than the px2370 (considered slightly better than bx2350)...
Also which are LG's latest monitors, May be I should consider lg led ?... HELP

Hey no need to post a bump.. I know you have been searching for long but a little patience is expected in such matters.. Now, let me clear out few points here.. The only significant advantage LED monitors have over the customary LCD monitors is use of lesser power (comparing same size monitors) and thus more power savings.. Don't expect any better pictures.. Now for the recommendations - Like i said before, all those monitors are based on a TN panel and would roughly perform the same.. So my recommendation would be to get the one which best suits your view on styling, has the biggest size for your budget and has the maximum number of connectivity options.. I've a few monitors sorted out for you namely - Samsung SyncMaster P2370HD, LG Flatron M2362D.. You wont go wrong with any one of those..
