Is not an overclock.... actually is an "underclock"......

Hello!

I have an A7A266-E and a 1600+ Athlon processor. My current BIOS revision is 1011. Now, I'd like to upgrade my processor. May I use a 2200+ processor? I'd like to use 2200+ because the price is the same of a 2100+ processor.
In Asus web site, I read about 1012 BIOS revision, but it's still in beta. Even 2200+ works at same speed of a 2100+, if it's works, I'll use it.

Thanks

PS: I still learning english. So if you found any errors in my message, please forgive me

I think it should work... the FSB stays the same and the higher multiplier should also be supported.

My dual-PSU PC is so powerfull that the neighbourhood dims when I turn it on 😱

Shouldn't be a problem... the T-bred even works on the old KT133(A) SDRAM chipsets.
