first forum post and build. Need RAM suggestions that are compatible. A build sanity check/criticisms would also be appreciated. I plan to overclock but i dont know how that relates to mhz ratings. MOBO supports up to 3200 mhz(oc). i see 1.2v min c15 corsair vengeance 2x8G 3000 mhz on amazon for $160, can this be overclocked further to 3200 mhz or how does that work?

My build so far:

$80-Phanteks Enthoo Pro
$84-EVGA Supernova G3
$74-ASrock AB350 Pro4
$100-Ryzen 2200G
$85-Samsung 850 EVO 250G(already had this)
$?-Ram?

thank you!

Edit: Is Gskill flare x 3200mhz worth the insane $240 price?

Solution
CPU will want RAM up to 2667Mhz, and anything faster is a gamble, depending on the mobo settings and the RAM. To be honest, I'd opt for the most affordable 2x8GB option in the 3000 and 3200 range that meets your CAS requirements / QVL list.

Consider Corsair or Gskill 3000Mhz, c15. Given the prices of the other parts listed, you seem to be on a budget, and throwing extra cash at overclocking on a budget isn't wise. $160-$180 seems to be the lower end of the c15 price range, while c16 RAM is similarly priced, and c14 RAM is more expensive.

Generally if you overclock RAM above its rated speed, assuming it even works, you'll have to relax the timings and increase the voltage, so unless you have serious cooling, it's kind of counter-productive, unless you're aiming for some frequency sweet-spot with another component, or are determined to overclock for the lols or bragging rights.

that answers a lot, thank you. I went with Team Dark Pro DDR4 3200 (PC4 25600) Timing 14-14-14-31 CAS Latency 14 Voltage 1.35V Samsung B die. At $180 it was one of the cheapest i could find and all the reviews say it works with ryzen at 3200mhz. Thanks again!
