23" 1920x1080 vs 27" 1920x1080

Hi..is there a difference on the quality when i play 480p or 720p videos on 23" and 27" (both 1920x1080)? specific monitors im comparing are asus vx239h and asus vx279h

For video and gaming 1080p at 27" I find perfectly fine, however for text or anything with a still and detailed image I find 1080p at 27" to be grainy to the point where I find it annoying. Up to about 24" I find fine for text (Word docs, Excel, web pages) but over that I'd rather 1440p
