Will 24+4 pin PSU work on 24+8 pin MOBO ?

MOBO Asrock 970DE3/U3S3

PSU codegen 550 watt

GPU hd 5670 gddr5 512 mb

CPU athlon II x4 640

RAM 8 gb ddr3

PSU says that 30 amps on 12 v rail wich = 360 watts ! ....

There will be only one way you can possibly connect it. They are 'keyed' to only fit a certain way.

Codegen 550 watt ! the sticker on psu says 30 amps on 12v rail

Does it say anything else about +12V? Like: Combined load of xxx yyy zzz shall not exceed... ?

Nope just 12 volt 30 amp

Makes it hard for us to check to make sure it's not of those models with a 'liar label'.

Nope just codegen 550 watt with no numbers etc ! i know weird ... The psu was cheap like 30 bucks .. so what ya say will ir work or no ? or i must buy 24+8 psu ?

If the label is correct 30Amps +12V is enough for your system. It should work 'OK'.

Even if it says 30a doesn't mean it could actually do it.
That would the equivalent of a budget grade 430 watt psu, and it's still a Codegen so doesn't really matter, they are lower than budget grade

If it can do what the label says, yes, more than sufficient, I just don't trust the brand
