[SOLVED] 24/7 streaming media box hdd case ?

Hi

I'm thinking about getting WD Red WD60EFAX 6 TB Hard Drive . What case should I use to connect it to my SBC(odroid xu4) ? One with a fan ? I have not had any luck finding one that is less than 100$

I don't see SATA ports on the odroid xu4. You need an enclosure with USB support, so the one proposed above might be an overkill, but should still work (it claims support of up to 8TB drives).

I just need a nas for playing videos over the network. Should I upgrade to a board with sata III port('s) ? I do like that the SBC dont take a loot of energy.

Get an off-the-shelf NAS. Yes, I know building one will be fun, but you will end with several boxes, cables, and a software you will have to manage by yourself.
