Solution W W weberdarren97 Dec 9, 2016 Other than the fact that different kits/brands may not be compatible with each other, not really. If adding the 16GB kit prevents the board from booting, try removing the 8GB kit and try again.

What if OP puts them on different channels? Would this still apply? PS. You can tighten up the timings on many sticks without needing to raise the voltage. Upvote 0 Downvote
