I'm currently running running Intel Burn Test for 50 passes @ a high settings. I also ran Prime 95 for at least 10 hours. Should be good enough right?

I overcloked Core i5 Sandy Bridge 2500k @ 4.5 ghz here are my settings:
I'm using Gigabyte Z77X-UD5H

ibt designed to push processor more than prime95.

i prefer to run ibt in 25 loops maximum stress than 24 hours prime95 in order save time (and electricity bill)

50 ibt loops in maximum stress +10 hours prime95 is more than enough to prove your stability.

It passed on Intel Burn Test @ at high level settings. I wanna make sure the cpu is stable that's all. Check out the screen shot I took after the teest was done:

Yes I got it pretty stable, after making some adjustment when Intel Burn Test fails, I adjusted the voltage from 1.320 to 1.330V! I started from there and ran Intel Burn Test for 50 passes and ran prime for good amount of time for 24 hours! And i'm sure this is a perfect overclocked. My temps were like 68/72 during Intel Burn Test @ full load, I also got some pretty low temps during running prime for 1 day, I got 68/70 temps, which I'm guessing are pretty good. :bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

Run Intel Burn Test at VERY HIGH settings for 10-20 tests. More than that and you're wasting your time. I ran 10 tests with it to check my stability and it was MORE than enough because after the first 6 tests your temps reach their MAXIMUM and even if you run 90 tests after that your temps will remain the same. No need for 8 hours of testing, that's just ridiculous IMO.

Haha, very true! I already ran all the tests like 5 days ago, bro. Believe it or not my room got so hot during the prime 95 24 hrs test. Man i hope my electricity bill won't go up! I really don't wanna pay 200 dollars of electricity. :non: :non: :non:
