24-inch, Dell FreeSync monitor drops to just $99

75Hz

No longer freesync certified under new guidelines of 144Hz minimum. They are dumping these because of the requirements change means they can't label new stock as freesync compatible. And I agree. That's a very low rate in terms of freesync. Your operative range would be 30Hz at the low end!

digitalgriffin is correct. As of at least March 7 2024, to gain FreeSync certification, a gaming monitor with an under-4K resolution needs to have a 144Hz refresh rate.

So they seem to simply be dumping old (edit: models of) monitors that can no longer be branded as FreeSync (edit: for new sales)

This change is not retroactive. They can continue promoting it as FreeSync certified because it was indeed certified as such.

$100 for a 75hz display is not unusual these days. The 144hz models are dropping to $130 or below.

Wait, are you sure? I thought that it was based on when the model was initially released, and not when any individual monitor of that model number was manufactured.

Then AMD really dropped the ball. Unless it's written on the box FreeSync V2 or FreeSync 2024 Standard, no one will be able to tell the 2 apart.

Amd should have rated it FreeSync Level 4, 5, 6. Higher numbers are better and simpler for the customer. The old one being FreeSync Level 1, 2, 3
