Guys -

For the AOC 24G2. when there is nothing connected to the monitor, does the back light stay on? This will be installed in a bedroom so prefer not to have any lights. Or do you recommend something else? I just need a good monitor that will last forever - I have a good budget from work. Just need height adjustable and don’t have much space on table hence going for 24 inch. Thin stand will be good too since the table has a limited depth. I guess vesa mount feature will be good too in case i do that in the future to keep table clean. I haven’t seen any monitors that include a good webcam so guess I can buy that separate. Only applications I use are excel outlook zoom web browsing

If there is another monitor over the 24G2 you recommend, I'm all ears but it should be height adjustable

Thanks

When the monitor is displaying all black the backlight will be on and it will produce some light. If there is no signal there is typically a on screen display that will say so, sometimes these can be quite bright. If there is no signal for some time, monitor typically drop back into standby mode with the display actually off. Or you can hit the power button to force standby mode. To be truly off and consuming no power it needs to be unplugged.

Quick glance puts the AOC ahead.
