24-pin ATX rearrangement?

I have an old P3 machine with a standard 24- pin motherboard power connector but does not support standard ATX power supplies because the pins are arranged differently. Is there a way that I can rearrange my ATX PSU's pins so that it will work with my old,P3?

Not that I know of, other than splicing the wires. It is probably not worth the hassle unless there is something about that machine that you need to keep it running.

The 'keys' are probably different also (some are square, some are notched) to fit in the ATX mobo connector and I'm guessing won't line up properly on a PS3.

Yes, you could rewire the new Atx's plug to exactly match the old one (Black wires ground btw so they aren't as important to match, as long as each ground pin has a ground wire)
but I wouldn't want to personally, is a mobo/Cpu upgrade too costly at this point?
