Hello, first and foremost I am new to pc building. I have a Gigabyte Z97-HD3 mobo and an EVGA 500W 80 plus bronze PSU. Currently, I am trying to connect the 24 pin (20 pin and 4 pin) connectors to the mobo. The 4 pin connects with no problem, however the 20 pin only connects about 70% of the way and it does not latch on. All the pins are lined up correctly and no matter how much force I put on it it will not go through (trust me I've put an insane amount of pressure on it.
I noticed that this is a 20 + 4 pin connector. Do I have to connect the 4 pin as well? I just got the 20 to snap in but the 4 cannot go in as it has 2 things poking out of its side that get in the way

Solution
You need to clip the +4 to the 20 pin before you insert it into the slot.
Corsair's lineup for example, is extremely hard to fit into the slot. Had a friend with the same issue on a EVGA 600B unit.

Thank you very much!!!!
