24 pin connector

Hello;

I have a power supply that I want to change it's 24 pin connector. Is it ok if i cut the wires at the end of the original 24 pin of the psu, then bring any 24 pin with it's wires and connect them?
Please check image below(I mean cutting the wires with 24 pin, and then connecting the new 24pin with it's wires to the wires of psu).

hi pauls;

the wires are getting out of the connector becuse for 12v + 5v + 3.3v (corsair hx850w silver), there are two wires connected to each of those pins, one wire is coming out from the pin and another stays in, so i decided to bring new 24 pin with it's wires, cut the original 24 pin from psu, and reconnect to the new 24 pin.

is it ok?

If you know what your doing, I'm Sure it is. But that's a big IF.

Pull the pin that sliding out on its own out and then bend the locking tab thats on the pin end of that cable out a little bit and stick it back into the connector until it locks in. Then you'll be good to go.
