24 Pin connector

Hello there, just wanted to ask if you can combine two 24-pin power connectors together? Essentially making it longer.

Asking cause the 24-pin braided cable that I bought doesn't split at the power supply side, as the 24 pin socket on the PSU is split into two parts (18 in one socket and 10 in one socket). However, the 24-pin power connector included in the PSU is split and fits into the power supply nicely.

Back to the initial point, can I combine the 24-pin included with the 24-pin braided that I bought? I can definitely connect the two, just asking if it would create problems or not work at all, or damage components.

You can just use something like this, don't attempt to duplicate at PSU.

Just wondering cause you can certainly convert one power connector to another, pcie power to molex for example. Or is that scenario completely different than two 24-pins for motherboards?

Yes completely different, 20/24 pin has two way connections to MB which other connectors don't.
