24 pin (??) motherboard wire to 8 &6 pin gpu adapter?

I was looking at a 3870x2 and how it required I think a 8 &6 pin connector and I thought "Is it possible to use my old 2004/5 Dell computers 220w powersupply's 24 pin (idk what if it's 24 pin) for a GPU.

The 3870x2 needs two Six Pin Connectors or if overclocking one 8 Pin and one 6 pin.
