Hello people of Tom's Hardware I have this old power supply from Corsair that has been sitting around and I was about to throw it away when my friend asked me to use it in his computer build. It's 750 Watts and more than sufficient for what he needs to do and he's on the cheap but after building the PC and plugging in the power supply the computer didn't turn on. I thought it was just a problem with me plugging in the front panel connectors wrong and I spent an hour trying to figure out why it wasn't working even when I fixed it. Then finally I unplugged the 24 pin power connector and realized a pin was missing this appears to be the only thing affecting the power supply and like I said my friend is on the cheap so he can't just go out and buy one that's that wattage. So I was wondering if there is anyway I can fix this 24 Pin power connector?

More Information

I made sure it's not a motherboard problem by plugging in another power supply it worked fine but that power supply is not sufficient enough to run the graphics card.

I checked all the wires I was using on the motherboard and they seemed to be all right.

I turned on the power switch. (I'm not an idiot I just seem like one)

I know this is a power problem because the speaker did not make any noises and nothing happened I tested

Solution
The pin is suppose to be missing , the PSU is probably DEAD.

-5 VDC (Optional - Removed in ATX12V v2.01

TX750 No there is not an indicator I'm starting to think the PSU is dead too and not just the 24 Pin plug but I have no way to find out yet

Tried it and it didn't work I also tried this before I put the power supply in the case and it was working I don't know what happened

Test the psu by taking a paperclip and bending it so one end can go into the green wire whole and the other one can go into any black wire whole the pug it in and if the fan on psu turn on and spin then your psu should most likely be working.
